A New Year

New Adventures

Maybe new possibilities

I awaken to the New Year with the certainty of what I can be sure being new…

Lamentations 3:22-23

For His mercy will not fail,

that is, it can’t be exhausted or depleted.

The scripture talks of how great His mercy is toward those who reverence Him,

Psalm 103:11… Wow!

There is a whole Psalm giving praise to God because of His mercy.

Many consider mercy only in relation to forgiveness of sin

yet, if you read this Psalm aloud, you will find the great victories God wrought for Israel.

And will He not do the same for us according to His purpose?

Of course He will!

Because God is rich in mercy because of the great love with which He loved us, Eph 2:4

When I consider the mercy of God many verses stand out to me but one above all

Romans 9:16

What we can accomplish is not a result of our effort and determination

but of God who shows mercy.

Read aloud to yourself everyday this month Psalm 136,

to remind yourself of God’s mercy as we move into this New Year.

For His mercy is new every morning and great is His faithfulness.
